THIS IS THE YEAR!!!!!

The Namibian Scholars Investment Challenge is back! As I said last year, the battle rages. We'll definitely take part again and with the definite aim of winning this time around. We won't settle for less, we could even sweep all prizes away.... I & my greatest partner -Edward are going to give it our all as this will be our last competition, we are grade 12 now. Our colleagues are determined like never before, I'm sure we'll do exceptionally well this year -THIS IS THE YEAR!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today's Valentine's Day.... frankly, I don't know what this day's all about. I think it's a trick by businesses to get people spending... or does it mean that you only have to express love on a certain day of the year? I'm not convienced that it really has to do with love, just vanity of all vanities! But hey, I can't go off without saying it..... Happy Valentine's Day folks!

NSIC'08

I'm delighted to learn that the annual Namibian Scholars Investment Challenge will be commencing very soon. This will be the 11th annual competition and my last, as this is also my final year in school. I can't wait for it to start, and we (Gabriel Taapopi) want to do much better this time around. Perhaps we can sweep all prizes this time around. We'll give it all we have....

Brave!

The Brave Warriors, Namibia's national football team played exceptionally well against the African giants, hosts of the African Nation's Cup - Ghana. They lost by a solitary, scrappy goal scored in the first half. Judging from the standard Namibian football is at currently, you would expect Ghana to thrash Namibia, considering the fact that they were in Germany at the FIFA World Cup 2006. A stunning performance by the whole Namibian team ensured that Ghana scored the one and only goal of the match, Collin Benjamin was one of the best players on the pitch. Battling it out against established world-class midfielders like Michael Essien who plays for English giants Chelsea. Thumbs up for the Brave Warriors, they were really Brave!

Back to school

It's great to emerge from the school holidays and festive season, well rested and re-energised for this crucial year.... as we begin to round up our school career. You feel relieved on one side that you are almost done with your school days, but very worried on the other side -one wants to matriculate with GREAT results, which requires GREAT effort. School has started and everyone is up and working already. I can only imagine what a year this will be... I'll just keep going.
